Hi: Unfortunately, there is no LGBT cancer survivor group in Philly that we know about. Online, there is outwithcancer.org and, soon, a more focused online support group. ALSO, we would be happy to sponsor a group in Philly...might you like to help start one?

Hi there - I am a social worker. I have a client who is currently the primary caretaker of his partner, who is very ill with cancer. Are there any support groups for LGBT caregivers in the New York area? Thank you for your help!

My partner was diagnosed this September. We have been navigating the waters ever since (e.g., surgery, treatments, support groups for her). I find myself in need of support as well. Does anyone know of an Austin, Texas based LGBT support group for caregivers (on-line or in person either one)?

Hi Frank. Yes there are support groups for gay men living as cancer survivors. Please email me directly, with what you are looking for and where you are looking for it, and an appropriate person from Out With Cancer will contact you.

Hi Glen: Yes, we do. In fact, we have three such groups. One meets on the third monday of each month, at 6:30 PM at 325 West !5th St, ground floor conference room. That group is entirely gay. We have another monthly group that meets at 6PM on the first Monday of the month. That group is open to all, but, is mostly if not entirely gay. It's also a small group for more personal support. Our weekly group meets 6PM every Wed night at 10 Union Square east, between 14th and 15th St. Go to the fourth floor and meet at 5:45PM in the library. That group is also open to all, but is mostly if not entirely gay or bi. Please email darryl@outwithcancer.com for more info or with any questions.
